Overview

Bluegill are found in every Ohio county and are often the first fish a young angler catches. Farm ponds, state park lakes, and community fishing areas all hold bluegill. They’re excellent eating and great fun on ultralight tackle. The bed fishing period in June-July is peak bluegill season.
